Potato flakes are made from special, crumbly varieties of potatoes. Many “fast” food products are made from potato flakes - chips, instant soups and numerous purees with additives. Potato flakes will help you out more than once when there is very little time to prepare dishes or in “field” conditions. In addition to very ordinary mashed potatoes, which you can prepare in just a few minutes, potato flakes can be used as a filling for dumplings, pasties, pies and pancakes; they will make excellent zrazy and potato cutlets. By adding some potato flakes to the butter dough, you can achieve light and airy baked goods. Flakes give a very unusual taste as a breading for fish.
